Orlando Magicians Give Back with a ‘Taste’ of Magic

Magic filled the air on August 18 in Orlando, and it wasn’t just from the delicious aromas wafting through the ballrooms. Four magicians from the Orlando-based See Magic Live team brought their talents to Taste! Central Florida, treating attendees to close-up magic while giving back to the community.
For over 30 years, Taste! Central Florida has been the region’s premier food and beverage tasting event. This volunteer-led effort raises funds for two amazing local organizations – Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. Bringing people together for a great cause while tantalizing their taste buds with delicious bites from over 75 restaurants – what’s not to love?
Giving Back Through the Gift of Magic
Here at See Magic Live, giving back is part of our DNA. We believe in sharing our unique gifts with the community, whether it’s through volunteer work, donations, or in this case, mesmerizing magic.
When the Taste! organizers invited us to entertain guests, we jumped at the chance. What better way to give back than by amazing people with illusions and astonishment? Our close-up magicians Eric Yuhasz, Sebastian Gerhardt, Daniel Giandoni, and Ari Novick roamed the event, performing impromptu shows for standing groups and at tables. Gasps of delight and wonder filled the two huge delicacy-filled ballrooms as minds were blown.
For us, bringing joy and inspiration through magic is its own reward. But knowing that we also raised awareness and funds for two great Central Florida charities? That’s the real magic.
Magic That Connects and Inspires
But why do we feel so strongly about giving back? We believe that we all have a responsibility to use our unique talents and gifts in order to better our communities—and in our case, that’s literally magic. Magic has the power to forge human connections and shift perspectives for the better. When people experience magic, walls come down, imagination ignites, and a sense of childlike joy and wonder emerges. Magic brings people together through a shared sense of mystery and surprise.
Sharing those feelings of amazement and togetherness drives everything we do. We want to inspire people, promote empathy and understanding, and use our skills to help our community.
